Learning & Participation Programme Manager
Roisin is a Creative Producer with a specialism in embedding artists and bold artistic processes within learning and participatory work.
Roisin grew up in Derby in the East Midlands and moved to London to train on the BA (Hons) European Theatre Arts course at Rose Bruford College, where she studied at the Institute Del Teatre in Barcelona during her second year. Roisin has produced quality artistic commissions within participatory teams at venues such as Battersea Arts Centre, Watford Palace Theatre, Jacksons Lane, and artsdepot, putting bold work into unconventional spaces and using radical theatre practice as the agent of change in her work. She believes that the best artistic work has an authenticity that only exists from working directly with young people and communities, and it is here where the deepest connections and greatest impact is made. She has a particular affinity for this within a contemporary circus framework which she developed during her time at Jacksons Lane, where she witnessed young people push the boundaries of what they thought possible in a way that no other art form can achieve.
Outside of her work Roisin enjoys cooking, video games, and immersing herself in other cultures. She practices languages as a hobby and holds a first-class Postgraduate Diploma in Communicative Japanese from SOAS University of London. She is also a mother to a two-year old little girl, the experience of which as proven how much she can get done on very little sleep.
