Our educational and community programmes are key to our artistic identity. We believe in the power of the arts and culture to transform the lives of children, young people and their families. Making art is a political act, and everyone should be offered the tools to contribute.

Over the last 28 years we have run a dynamic programme of educational projects, working with up to 900 children and families annually across London and nationally, on creative projects that improve the lives of disadvantaged children, young people and families in challenging community settings. Working with local authorities, schools and other agencies we provide free services to ensure they are accessible to those that will benefit from them the most.

Scarabeus has a history of successful long-term partnerships with schools. They can always be relied upon to build strong relationships with a school, have demonstrated remarkable skills at navigating complex environments and built projects that will have sustainable impact for years to come. Jocelyn Cunningham – Director, Creative Partnerships London North.
