Flying Families is a FREE programme  of artistic, creative and physical workshops for parents and their children. A great way of bonding deeply with your child and building and self-confidence while learning fun new skills in a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment.

Through yoga for families, aerial cocoon skills and outdoor exploration this is a great opportunity for parents and children to spend quality time together and meeting other local families with children of a similar age.

Supported by the Big Lottery Community Fund over the course of two years, each 8-week programme includes: aerial skills using cocoons, yoga for parents and children, fun theatrical games, outdoor adventures in Queen’s Woods, relaxation techniques and massage.

We are piloting an outdoor adapted version of Flying Families following Covid-19 safety guidelines. Walks & Discoveries takes small groups of families to an experiential discover of their local woods and parks. The programme promotes motor coordination, strength and flexibility by learning fun movement sequences, yoga for families and climbing on trees. It stimulates the imagination by inventing and telling stories, playfully bonding parents and children together.
