Flying into Physics – FREE WORKSHOP PROGRAMME

A brilliantly exciting new way of teaching physics to KS2 children through aerial flying! Scarabeus Aerial Theatre have worked with schools across London, Leicester & Kent to raise the profile of science in schools, inspiring children to enjoy science and engineering.

Using creative aerial techniques to explore physical forces, Flying into Physics makes science approachable and accessible for a wide range of learners, including those who typically feel less inspired by science.

With the support of John Lyon’s Charity we are able to offer this programme to Primary Schools across the London Boroughs of Barnet, Brent, Camden and Hammersmith & Fulham.

The programme is available in 2 versions:

  • Covid-19 safe delivery model with minimum or no close interaction between children and staff from Scarabeus, known as the demonstration model
  •
  • Practical delivery model; where pupils will get to actively take part in aerial sessions applying learning through practice

What do you get for FREE?

  • Teacher CPD session with Science Specialist
  • Teachers Aerial session*
  • Flying into Physics sessions for young people focussing on exploring flying, exploring forces at play & exploring pulleys, pulley systems & levers*

*please note the details of the offer are dependent on the model chosen for delivery
